4th of July Attire for You and Your Dogs
With the Fourth of July coming around the bend, I thought I'd share some styling tips for both you and your bestest friend!
For Your Doggies
Besides just tying a handkerchief around their collars, I have my two boys dressed in what I like to call their "super hero" outfits. But these adorable leotards do more than just make them look cute. Let me ask you a question.. Do you wish that your dogs didn't shed all over your freshly pressed outfit or the outfits of guests at say, your 4th of July party? Well then these cute doggie leotards are for you! These Shed Defenders not only allow you to dress your best friend up for a special occasion, but they stop your dog from shedding all over your house, car, and clothing. And of course the added bonus is that the Shed Defender comes in many colors, like red and blue so that your dogs can look festive for the Fourth of July! If you're curious about sizing, my beautiful mixed pup, Miles, is sporting a blue size XL. Tucker, my 14-year old Weimaraner, is in a red size L. Although both dogs are about the same height and length, I did go with a smaller size for Tucker because he's so slender. And I can tell you that both of my best buds here had no trouble with me putting on the Shed Defender or wearing it throughout the day!
For Yourself
If you're wondering what to wear for the Fourth of July, I'd suggest going with a white and blue seersucker loose-fit dress. Seersucker because it's classic and versatile -- so you'll be able to use it for other occasions too. And "loose-fit" because if you're anything like me, then you'll want to have room for that hotdog/hamburger/chips/etc. food baby that often comes with BBQ festivities. My personal favorite, is the Make It Sweet Dress, from The Mint Julep Boutique. I absolutely love that this dress features the long-standing seersucker trend with some new trends, like the exaggerated ruffle sleeves and a cold shoulder design! To add to the Fourth of July theme, I've paired the dress with some great accessories. I'm wearing a bandana around my neck to add some red to the ensemble, and the Wine’d Up embellished handbag, by Mary Frances, for a star-inspired sparkle. Lastly, I'm wearing the unbelievably comfortable and slip-proof Eva Sandal in white, by Rhea Footwear. All of which come together for a Red, White, and Blue outfit!
I hope these tips will help you enjoy a dog-filled, dander-free, food-baby-hiding, and trendy Fourth of July!
