Spring 2017 Trend Forecast

I don't know about you, but since the start of winter, I've been counting down the days until spring time. It almost feels like spring already because the weather in Philly has been incredible the past couple of days. And with 60 degree weather expected for the rest of the week, I'm breaking out some spring inspired pieces that I think will be popular this upcoming season..

1. Patched Denim

Patched or "re-worked" jeans are killing it in the denim industry. This is for sure one of the spring trends I'm most excited about. This style jean is a fun way to spice up that boring old denim wardrobe! That's what I love about my Blue Patchwork Ankle Jeans, by ROMWE. They're so different from any other pair of jeans that I own! Also, I absolutely love the ankle cut design -- I believe that it's especially flattering for shorter girls like yours truly. Oh and did I mention that these jeans are only $16?! If you're looking to order your own and need a size reference, I'm wearing a small!

2. Oversized Sweaters

Chilling in an oversized sweater, specifically in a rosey hues, is both comfortable and chic -- so it's the best of both worlds. And when it comes to those chilly spring days, a sweater like this is the perfect thing to throw on. I'm sporting this V Neck Oversized Sweater, by ROMWE, the same online shop that I scored my jeans at! ROMWE has an incredible selection of attire and accessories for seriously unbeatable prices -- this sweater is only $28!! If you loved the jeans and the sweater then you'll probably love the other ROMWE pieces I got too, which are coming to BTFL in the coming weeks so keep a look out!

3. Fashion Backpacks

I'm in love with my newest handbag, A.K.A. this Vegan Leather Backpack, by Sugulovas! My favorite thing about this piece is that it incorporates two popular handbag trends, the fashion backpack and the envelope design. I've been wanting a stylish backpack for quite some time -- I was just waiting for the right one to come around. Because I love sleek, minimalist, envelope designs, when I saw this backpack it was love at first sight! Looks aside, this quality bag fits quite a bit and, as you can imagine, is comfortable to carry around all day.

4. Mules

My obsession with mules is too real! You might remember my Instagram post where I expressed my love for a certain pair of Gucci mules. Well, being that I'm on a student's budget, I knew the Gucci one's weren't going to happen in the foreseeable future, so instead I treated myself to the Razzi in blue velvet, by Steven Madden and I couldn't be happier! They're comfortable, cute, and they didn't break the bank. I actually got them while they were on sale at Macy's! Although the sale isn't going on anymore, I'm going to keep an eye out for another sale and alert you guys about it on Instagram if I find one so stay tuned!
