BRIGHT LEATHERS

I don’t know about you all but I’ve been spending a significant amount of time playing dress up at home. I’ve been styling and cataloging outfits that I plan to wear once this quarantine ends. I tell myself that spending all this time getting outfits together now will save me time in the future. We’ll see! Just as a little disclaimer, Bill and I did take these photos outdoors (obviously) but it was right outside our apartment building and it was while we were already on our way out to run errands. I always do my best to stop shooting and distance myself from the sidewalk when I see someone about to pass by. But I digress. Today’s post is about 5 summer trends that I’m most excited to sport once this quarantine ends and social outings are allowed once again.

So let’s start off with summer leathers. That’s right, leather apparel is now coming in bright colors to compliment the warmer spring and summer months. I’m wearing a pair fo sage vegan leather (PU) pants from Femme Luxe. While this exact pair is currently sold out, Femme Luxe has a huge selection of colorful PU products, like these pink joggers and this sage skirt! I’m also sporting a yellow gather puff shoulder bag which is also another one of Femme Luxe’s vegan leather products.

2. NETTED BAGS

It probably comes as no surprise that the oh-so-popular netted handbag design from last summer is still in style for this summer. Everything about the woven bag screams SUMMER! This exact bag is also from Femme Luxe but is sadly sold out. I’m linking up a similar one here!

3. SILK SCARVES

We all know summer wardrobes are all about bright colors and fun patterns. And the best way to accomplish that is with a gorgeous silk scarf like this one from the Etsy shop, ADARRI by Natella and Bella Klycheva. ADARRI offers an awesome selection of gorgeous scarves that are great quality for an impeccable price! My absolute favorite of course is the one, which I’m sporting in today’s post! Its large square shape makes it super versatile. I’ve used it three different way so far; 1) as a shoulder wrap, 2) as a head-wrap, and 3) tied around the handle of a purse to spice it up.

4. TEXTURED METALS

Statement gold accessories have been popular for a while now, but what is really trending right now is gold accessories with texture! Take these large hoops for example. They’re from the same shop that this scarf is from, ADARRI by Natella and Bella Klycheva. Aside form offering beautiful scarves, ADARRI also offers a great collection of textured earrings.

5. SEA-INSPIRED ACCESSORIES

Get ready to see lots of sea-inspired accessories this summer. Jewelry featuring pearls and seashells are especially popular. My current favorite is this alternating pearl and pearlized shell bracelet made by Salt Water Designs, which is an Etsy shop owned by my talented childhood bestie, Samantha Parlato. As you can imagine from the name, her shop features gorgeous sea-inspired jewelry. All her designs are handmade with intricate detail and lots of love.
