3 Must-Have Tank Top Styles For Spring
The Cowl Neckline
Uncertainty fills the air during this pandemic. Dental school is closed (with out graduation requirements not yet met), our graduation ceremony has been canceled, our licensing exam has been postponed indefinitely. Oh and despite it being my primary place of residence for the past three years, the dorm in which I’m a Graduate Associate is potentially evicting me on Friday. But amongst all the uncertainty, I’m certain about my love for fashion. I’ll be throwing myself into my blog these next few weeks while I wait to hear about the fate of my dental career. On a happier note, I’m excited to share with you three blouses gifted to me by Elizabeth Crosby and Bishop + Young. I chose these three tops because of their distinct and trending designs.
Let’s start with the Chalice Cami in Aloe by Elizabeth Crosby (featured above), mainly because it’s my favorite. I know, I know. It’s not right to play favorites! But how could I not? This blouse is everything I ever wanted in a camisole. Between the thin straps, the beautiful drape of the cowl neck, and the gorgeous color they call “Aloe,” I feel like I’ve died and gone to heaven. Alright, I’ll put the melodramatics on hold for now. The cowl neck design has been especially popular this year and the trend is staying strong this upcoming spring/summer season. This style of neckline is incredibly flattering which is probably why it’s such a hot commodity these days. Because of the cowl neck and satin design this blouse can be dressed up with a skirt or dressed down with a pair of jeans. Elizabeth Crosby offers this top in three different colors just in case the “Aloe” hue isn’t doing it for you.
2. The Halter/Bandana Style
Next up is this incredibly unique piece, the Odessa Halter Top by Bishop + Young. This Halter Top is designed to look like a bandana with it’s angled hem and paisley print. It features a self-tie-open-back to show off some skin as the weather gets warmer. You’re about to see the halter design blow up for festival season but honestly I’m a fan of dressing it up with some slacks and heeled sandals (like I did above). Either way, If you’re looking to turn heads, this is the top for you.
3. The Bohemian Print
Last but not least is the Marisa Cami in “Moroccan Scarf” by Bishop + Young. While the cut and structure of this top is classic, it’s the bohemian print that makes it so on-trend this season. You’re about to see a lot of fun prints come spring but this one is particularly unique because it mimics the style of a “Moroccan Scarf.” You can see in the design that it looks very similar to a patterned silk scarf one would wear in their hair or around their neck. Only now it’s in the form of a tank top! I’m wearing it with slacks in today’s post but it would certainly pair well with denim shorts or high waisted flowy pants.
I know most of you are probably quarantined at home wondering when you’ll even be able to dress up for the next outing. All I can say is, don’t let the quarantine keep you down. Get up every morning and get dressed even if it’s just for yourself! If you look good, you’ll feel good! Lastly, I hope everyone is staying safe in these uncertain times. Here’s to hoping it resolves quickly.
