Puka Shell Detailing + Layered Necklaces

Fridays are for talking about trends! Who am I kidding, any day of the week is for talking about trends. Today, I’m excited to discuss 1) the puka shell trend and 2) the art of layering delicate necklaces.

1) Puka Shells

There are so many sea-inspired accessories this season but none so popular as the puka shell. If you’re an avid BTFL reader than you know my obsession with handbags is real. So when I saw the Linen Puka Shell Bucket Bag, by Mighty Oak Handbags, I went nuts! It’s a linen bucket bag with wooden handles and three lines of puka shells. Could it BEEE anymore perfect for summer? (Pulled a Chandler there for all my F.R.I.E.N.D.S. fans). It’s super light weight and fits everything you need. The quality is impeccable as it was handmade with love by the talented lady behind the scenes of Mighty Oak Handbags. If you’re all about the puka shell trend, I highly suggest you get your self one of these beauties

2) Layered Delicate Necklaces

I’ve always loved minimalist jewelry and my latest obsession is the pairing of delicate necklaces. Funny enough, there's an art to this trend! The necklaces should be different lengths, match in color, and have varying yet complimentary designs. Take for example these two pieces from Moon Magic, the Hamsa and the Solar necklaces. Each necklace has two length settings which makes them perfect for layering. You’ll see that the repeating dot design of the Solar necklace makes it great for a choker, while the Hamsa single-charm-design lends itself to being the longer necklace. These gold-plated beauties are both under $40 and a steal at that! Check out the rest of the Moon Magic collection for a variety of minimalist accessories.
